The World Health Organization (WHO) warned on Thursday that the global COVID-19 epidemic is increasing the risk of new, possibly deadly strains emerging in the future.
Professor Didier Houssin, chair of the WHO Emergency COVID-19 Committee, stated, "The epidemic is far from over."
