Papers from the Kremlin appear to demonstrate Putin's plan to install Trump in the White House.
According to what are believed to be leaked Kremlin papers, Vladimir Putin personally authorized a secret spy agency operation to promote a "mentally unstable" Donald Trump in the 2016 US presidential election during a closed session of Russia's national security council.
According to the files, the major meeting took place on January 22, 2016, and was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, his espionage chiefs, and senior ministries.
They agreed that a Trump White House would assist Moscow achieve its strategic goals, including "social unrest" in the United States and a weakened bargaining stance for the US president.
